Ghosts and R.I.P. Paul Gray & Ronnie James Dio

Sorry, we've kind of been ghosts around here. Same thing happened least year. Finals just wrapped up and I was sick during the duration of them. Not really how I wanted to spend my last few weeks, but it is what it is. I haven;t found my hard drive yet while unpacking, so no new videos, but we will have some soon.

In other tragic news, we regret to hear the passing of both Ronnie James Dio and Paul Gray. Dio was the front man for Black Sabbath after Ozzy Osbourne left the band. He was a very talented vocalist and his loss is rippling across the metal world. He was planning a tour this year despite being treated for stomach cancer. He lost the battle last Sunday May 16, 2010.

As a card carrying official maggot of Slipknot, Paul Gray's death is much more shocking and saddening to me. Paul was #2 in the band and played bass. He was also one of the founding members of the band. I was hooked on Slipknot from the first time I heard "All Hope Is Gone" last year. Sadly, they had already passed through the area before I could see them. My greatest regret in the loss of Paul is not seeing Slipknot live. I and many other future metal fans will now never get the chance to see one of the greatest bands of all time live and complete. Paul was found in a hotel room on Monday May 24. The cause of death has yet to be determined as of this time, but an autopsy performed today showed no signs of trauma or foul play and no cause of death. Sadly, this may be a case of drug overdose. It's a horrid way to go and one of the most senseless and wasteful ways to die. Kids, please don't do drugs. Nobody wins. I certainly hope Paul's death was not a result of drugs, but that's what it looks like. He will be missed. Below is a press conference with the band discussing Paul's passing.

Holy Crap Is It James Dumb?!?

Yes, believe it or not, it is! James Dumb is back, and this time his mission is a toughie. He must enter an interrogation room filled with a caustic, methane acid vapor. He must then interrogate a suspect in this odorous room, and leave unscathed to report back to his superiors. We also learn that James Dumb is just as scared of black people as Jon is. I wonder why.

Actually, the whole "black people!" thing from two posts ago originated from the above video. It was just coincidence when he appeared. By the way, the black man in this video is George, a custodian. He's also a really cool guy and a great guitar player/musician/producer. No hard feelings George. Also, this video came with 2 other bloopers. They will show up soon.

I know I said before that we would be posting on Youtube. At the moment this is easier and quicker. School is winding down, which means we gotta ramp up the books. Anyway, once we are done exams, we will begin the transfer process.

Back In The Basement

Jon and I have been very productive lately. We have filmed lots of new material and are working to actually do some editing and make some very cool video shorts. We put some extra effort into our latest filmings and have extra camera angles to give you a sweeter view of what's going on. Given time, we will have some really cool stuff to show. Because of Blogspot's file size limitations, we have set up a YouTube account so we can post some of the larger videos we have. Some of our best stuff is larger than the 100 MB limit Blogspot has. We will continue posting here, since we can be more detailed with our descriptions and whatnot. But soon the videos themselves will no longer be shown here (however this Blogspot and our YouTube will be interlinked, so everything will be somewhat easy to navigate). Change is good in our case, and it's a comin'!

We are also looking into putting together an online series with a number of ~15 minute episodes. This is going to take a bit of work on our end, but if it comes together as it should, we will have a great show for the Internet-viewing world. We don't have a title for it yet, but think of it as a mix of Jackass, Top Gear, and The Three Stooges. So it's everything we have been doing for the last year, but even more so and more spectacular. We will be drafting a few more members into a real crew and start filming over the summer. If all goes well we will have something online by mid June. Once we have some updates and more info, we will of course post it here.

Anyway, enough talk. Onto some videos. Today we will finish up the basement Challenges. Two of the videos are too large for Blogspot, but the other three are small enough (and still funny). Spring Break!!!

Well not for me anyway. My Spring Break was last week (which is why there were no videos last week. You will note that the updates happen more or less weekly, usually less), and I'm back in class now. so what better way to procrastinate than post some fresh vids?

To start, I have no idea how this video went this long without being posted. It's been three damn years since it was filmed!!! What the efff?!? Oddly enough, it doesn't star Jon at all. Rather, it features Jon's brother, Chris. We have seen him cameo a few times before, but for the first time ever on the Internet, he will star in his own clip! And what does he do? Show he is a horny bastard. Definitely one of my favorite videos I have shot personally. True Jackassery at its finest.

Next, we go back to Jon and his insanity. He deep throats a plastic hotdog. That's about all you really need to know about this clip to enjoy it. Oh and don't forget to say hi to Alex. Hi Alex. Thanks for being there for non-comic relief.

Summer's Almost Here

Music Review: Addicted

I am now going to be totally selfish and review some music. I am a metal head (just look at my hair. Why the Hell do you think it's that long?), and one of my favorite bands of the last few years has been Strapping Young Lad. I was very upset when they disbanded, but they are (in their own ways) still making music. Devin Townsend, former front man of Strapping Young Lad, has been steadily creating insane music for the better part of the last decade and a half. Without Strapping, he has been working on (what else but?) the Devin Townsend Project. They have done some really interesting and cool things over the last three years since SYL officially broke up. In 2007, the Dev-ster released Ziltoid The Omniscient. It's a heavy metal musical about a nerdy alien who takes over the Earth. Devin did all the instruments, vocals, and mixing himself. It is arguably the best album of 2007. Go buy it, you won't be disappointed. spend the extra pocket change and get the deluxe edition with bonus DVD. A few words from Zilty and the Dev man himself (he shows off his rig which is way cool).

In 2009, DTP came out with two albums: Ki and Addicted. I bought a copy of Addicted earlier this week. As much of a fan as I am of Heavy Devy, his music can be kind of hit-or-miss. ZTO was a huge hit. Physicist (2000) was a miss. Addicted is in the middle. It has some really good songs (in particular, the single "Bend It Like Bender!" which also has a super cool video), and some rather boring songs. I was expecting more songs like "Bender" but it stands on its own. It's very upbeat and is very joking (get the joke in the name yet?). The remix of "Hyperdrive!" (which was originally from ZTO) is interesting. Anneke Van Giersbergen adds a new dimension to the song with her beautiful voice. And to me "Ih-Ah!"s opening sounds a lot like Metallica's "The Day That Never Comes." Overall, I would say Addicted is a good album and worth buying. However, I would not recommend it to a new listener of Devin. To a new listener, I would pick either Infinity or ZTO. Or if you want something hardcore and heavy, look up SYL's Alien. By far their best work. Pick up Addicted some other time. Don't take that as a pan on the album. It's good (better than a lot of music out today), but not quite as good as some of Dev's other works.

Addicted is the second of a four-part concept Devin is working on. Ki is the first part. The local record store didn't have Ki on hand, though I will probably be ordering it soon. Part three should be out soon, so keep watching Devin's website: http://www.hevydevy.com/. The man is busy and insane.

I am wrong, the videos are still acting up. It seems to be a problem with Google, not us and they are working on it. After some monkeying around it seems if you load one of the older 2008 videos and then try the newer videos again, the new videos do work. Why this is happening is a mystery to us all and we are not the only Blogspot site having issues with videos. We will still be posting new material, but for the time being you all will have to live with the inconveniences. Sorry buttlickers.

FUCK NO!!! 10 years ago, Jon and I were about a step up from pooping in our own pants, so yeah, we remember a lot about 2000. No instead, we will wish you the best for the coming year (and the nine after) and make public yet another one of our videos. The Challenge

Has It Actually Been A Year Already?

Believe it or not, but it actually has been a year! 365 days of our complete and utter bullcrap streaming on the interwebs. So what do we to celebrate our one year anniversary..? We dance!!!

Well Jon will dance and I will film. The song is called Crazy Frog and it's one of our favorite tunes (others include "Twisted Transistor," "Dig," and "Die MF Die"). Jon loves dancing to it and he gets pretty goofy when he does. Jon falls on his back and thinks he left a little junk in his trunk. The good news a later is an inspection of his drawers revealed he had not in fact soiled himself. Too bad.

I had planned filming some big blowout video with lots of crazy stunts by both of us and posting it on our 365th day. That plan got sidetracked and before long the deadline had passed. Sorry, but **it happens. Deal with it. And a happy late Thanksgiving to all you bastards too.

So what are we doing new for the second year of the Delaware DJ? Well for one thing Jon (finally) got himself an account here, so he will now be posting his own ridiculous rantings on here without any provocation whatsoever. He will probably add some of his own videos (he has a few that I don't have in my archive which are very funny), and with any luck some of his own indie hip hop music. He is also planning a really cool video that focuses on the racing scene in northern Delaware. Plans are coming together and we will begin filming that in earnest at the beginning of next year. When we get teaser clips, we will post a few here. When it will be finished and released is TBA, but if you stay tuned, you will probably hear about it hear first.

Myogi Fall Down & Go Boom

Mr. Myogi returns after a long absence. Because these clips are short, you will get not one, but two today visits from our resident crazy Chinese bastard. Mr Myogi is quite a humanitarian isn't he? Because Jon can only do his voice sometimes, Mr. Myogi does not come out very often to play, so enjoy his funny sounding and sometimes masochistic antics for now, because it could be awhile before more appear on this site. Anyway, in our first film, Mr. Myogi enters ready to give another discussion on sex, but his tiny Chinese eyes fail to see the table in front of him and he falls over it in a beautiful face plant.

In the second episode, Myogi is ready to make a grand appearance on a moving chair, but this quickly ends with disasterous (but funny) results.

Another Dumb Running?

James Dumb In The Obstacle Course

So it's a bit later than planned, but here, as promised, is the video of James Dumb completing the obstacle course. You may remember last time that we took you through a tour of the obstalce course last time. Now James actually runs through it.

Sorry about the quality, the camera battery died (it's a junk camera that will probably be getting replaced soon), so this was filmed on my cell phone. We had no choice because e only had one shot at filming this little stunt. It's still good for a few yucks.

Not Dead (Or Arrested) Yet!

My God has it really been four months? Geez, it hardly seems that long but I guess it is. Why have we been gone so long? Well it's kinda complicated. Jon and I haven't hung out much in months, because I work way too much and he is in school. It's a recipe for disaster, especially when you're trying to film stupid videos. We hadn't filmed anything new since sometime in May, and we were beginning to run out of new video to post. On top of all of this, my laptop was broken for the better part of two months.

Three weeks ago one of my jobs disappeared, and I now have my weekends free. We are thinking up new material and have already filmed some. This will be a two-parter today. James Dumb is back and this time he is running for his job. we have set up an obstacle course for James, and he must complete it or he will be castrated and dressed like a little girl. Today's video will walk you through the course.

Part 2 will be up soon. Like maybe 2 months ;) Actually I'm hoping to get it up on Monday. We will be filming more soon, and as we get new footage, it will be posted right HERE.

James Dumb In Training

Well for the first time in a long time, we are updating more than once a week. Lucky you. anyway, today we have another James Dumb video. In this episode, James Dumb is in training, practicing his cool flips, and wild sock-on-waxed-tile-floor slides/falls. And a random run around the room with a blanket over his head. Fun times.

The reason this is "Part 2" is because the original ended video up being a blooper. Of course Jon didn't realize this and said "part 2." Eventually the blooper will be posted and you can get the complete saga.

After looking back at some of our archives, I realized the "Fucking old people" line shows up in the first (technically second, but it's posted first) New Year's video. Now you're no longer on the outside of that particular inside joke.

By the way, the "paint job" he (or is it me) is talking about is the black paint around the room. They only painted half of the room and there was lots of overpainting everywhere. It looked terrible. Mostly because it has more video in it.

Puppet Show

So our last post isn't the whole story on Grandpa. I sort of put Jonny on the spot by asking him what the deal was with Grandpa. Anyway, after trying to freak me out, Jonny, Chris, and I all went to McDonalds for breakfast. On the way, we decided to drive up with Jonny as Grandpa in the passenger seat. Well Jonny and I decided to do that, while Chris hated the idea (he has to look like such a badass all the time. This by the way is in his old car, a Corolla station wagon his grandmother gave him), but he had no choice, which makes it that much funnier. He gets so pissed off at us. Anyway, I have 5 videos from McDonalds alone, so it will take a few days to get them all up. Here are the first two:

The Origins of Grandpa

So here's the backstory of Grandpa: About a year ago, Jonny's brother was giving me a ride. Jonny wanted to freak me out a bit so he decided to wear the Grandpa mask when they drove up. It didn't really work, but Jonny decided to wear it as we drove around town. I decided to film it, and before we knew it, we had Grandpa.

The End of Dumb Running!

Ok, first off I'm going to end the Dumb Running Series. Yay! With any luck, we can record a few more later on. But for now, this is all we have. Jon went through this weird period where he had really short hair. I think he looks especially creepy in this vid.

Back in November, we went around Newark and did some shooting. This vid came from that shoot. Jon hits a curb with his skateboard and has predictable results.

At Long Last...The Litter Box Part II

It's been nearly three months since we first shot The Litter Box. I posted the first part with no trouble. Unfortunately, the second part contained some nudity, so it had to be edited. I've never used this software before, so I kinda tripped and crashed my way along. Then after editing, blogspot wouldn't let me upload the video. Figuring it was for content, I just let it idle after giving up trying to cut out all the naughtiness. Finally I realized I was trying to upload the vidwo in a format they wouldn't accept. So finally, we have the second part of The Litter Box Stunt. The first part went up in December, so look for it there.

Just a few funny vids that we shot last week. Sorry about the long delay, but I had my wisdom teeth taken out last week, which put me out of comission for a while. I also had to move back into the dorms and start classes back up. Hopefully I'll be a bit better about updating more often. So here are today's vids: The first has Jonny crawl through the gap between two sets of risers. It's pretty impressive to watch, but funny when he gets stuck.

This is honestly a hoorible, horrible video. I'm ashamed I even kept it. But since I did, I thought it would be worth posting. The end is very funny though when Jonny shows how he eats beats and bones. So Jonny's girls beware- he's crazy when it comes to his women.

This is the funniest damn thing I have ever seen. And I can't believe I filmed it. Jonny has to go boom boom and decides to use his cat's litterbox. He puts a plastic bag in to catch it so we can do something with the fresh poo. Our lack of planning really shows up. There are 2 parts of this vid and the second needs a bit of editing. Should be up over the weekend.

Been actually experiencing the real world, so we kinda jumped on this one a bit late. So what! You still get some funny ass videos! Here they are:

OUCH! Jonny tries to climb a light post and fails. I then trip over his skateboard and twist my ankle. Then Jonny climbs a tree.

Time for some Grandpa. we filmed these on Tuesday the 25th. This is Grandpa walking down the street and vaulting over some fences, cane and all. This is front of the now closed Newark Diner, and if you've eaten there before, you know why it sucks that it's closed.

Grandpa does some skating in the parking lot in front of my dorm. Silly old man, tricks are for kids!

Jonny bought this new hoodie and the hood zips all the way up to the top of his head. Why? Who friggin knows?!? But it does make for some funny pics.

Some Characters You'll See

Jonny and I have come up with a few characters that will appear from time to time. So here is an introduction to the ones we have now (and if we think of others, we'll add them). first up is Grandpa. He's a crazy old man who doesn't want to act his age. He enjoys skating, riding, and freaking people out.

The next character is Mr. Myogi from the Karate Kid movie. He's a creepy old Chinese man who is only somewhat coordinated and very annoying. But very funny too.

Finally, we have James Dumb. He desperately wants to be James Bond 007, but he's never going to make it. First of all, he's not British. Second of all...well... just watch and you'll see why.

As a side note, when I film James Dumb, I think it looks cooler to do it in Black & White or "Classic" (a setting on my camera which turns everything red). So if the videos look kinda weird, there's a reason for it. I think it looks sweet. Or at least different.

The Intro: What Are We Doing Here?

So yeah, here we be. Jonny and I have been pursuing our own things for the last year or so and we have always wanted to share what we do with other people out there. Jonny has been working on his music for just over a year now, and I'm about to get serious and become a pro racer (way easier said than done). We're also silly fools, so we do some dumb stuff and then film it so we can laugh at ourselves later on. So this is the dump we've created to fore our work onto the world. Sad for you, fun for us. Hopefully it will become fun for everyone else too. So here's just a short preview of what we'e done and what we have in store.

The only video I have of me drag racing my 1990 Nissan 240SX. Taken in May 30, 2008 at Cecil County Dragway. I think I ran a 14.0 on that pass (my tires are junk)
